Indications
Mild to moderate pain, pyrexia, antiplatelet (prophylaxis of cerebrovascular disease or myocardial infarction)
Warning & Precautions
Reye's syndrome: Owing to an association with Reye's syndrome, it is recommended that aspirin containing preparations should no longer be given to children under 12 years, unless specifically indicated e.g. for juvenile arthritis (still's disease). It is important to advise families that aspirin is not a suitable medicine for children with minor illness. Concerning the harmful effect of acetyl salicylic acid (Aspirin) in the last three months of pregnancy due to the possibility of prolonging the period of pregnancy and the increased risk of antepartum and post partum hemorrhage as well as the risk of bleeding tendency in the new born. Not to be used in high doses during the last three months of pregnancy.

As directed by the physician or as follows: 12 years: 2-3 Alexoprine 75 mg tablets 2-3 times daily after meals It is preferable to disintegrate the tablets in some water, stir and then drink or just chew them.
Adverse Reactions
Generally mild and infrequent but high incidence of gastrointestinal irritation which slight a symptomatic blood loss, increased bleeding time, bronchospasm and skin reaction in hypersensitive patients.
Contra Indications
Children under 12 years and in breast-feeding (Reye's syndrome), gastrointestinal ulceration, haemophilia, not for treatment of gout. Hypersensitivity: Aspirin and other NSAID are contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to aspirin or any other NSAID which includes those in whom attacks of asthma, angioedema, urticaria, or rhinitis have been precipitated by aspirin or any other NSAID.

Indications
Mild to moderate pain, pyrexia, antiplatelet - Rapid relief of all symptoms associated with common cold and influenza such as headache , pain and fever - Antipyretic in febrile conditions including rheumatic fever. - Analgesic for pain of different aetiologies as headache, toothache, migraine and rheumatic pain. - It is suitable for patients who suffer from hyperacidity or gastric ulcers and can not receive normal aspirin therapy . It can also be used for long term therapy without causing irritation or ulceration to gastric mucosa .

Asthma, allergic disease, impaired renal or hepatic function (avoid if severe), dehydration, pregnancy, elderly.
