PHENAZOPYRIDINE is used for acute painful phase of urinary tract infections, complicated by pain , burning and frequency( Pyelonephritis, Pyelitis , Cystitis and Urethritis).URISEPT Warning & Precautions
To be used only when clearly indicated during the first two trimesters. Phenazopyridine imparts reddish coloration to urine, and may interfere with urinary tests based on colour reaction. Adequate fluid intake must be advised during treatment.Product Type

URISEPT Dosage
Adults : 2 tablets three times daily. Children : 6 years and over : one tablet three times daily.Adverse Reactions
Occasional : hypersensitivity reactions. Haemolytic anemia in patients with Glucose-6-phosphate dehydronase deficiency.
URISEPT Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to sulphonmides or related compounds. Renal or hepatic insufficiency.URISEPT Drug Interactions
With oral anticoagulants:( Phenytoin and sulphonylureas) the effect of these drugs may be increased when given with Urotrim. With sulphonamides can displace Methotrexate from plasma protein.
