• What is Ambezim-G?
Ambezim-G is a combination of trypsin & chymotrypsin which is administered orally to reduce the intensity of inflammation, decrease the pain, help in the resolution of oedema & fluid & favour the penetration of antibacterial agents in the affected areas.
Ambezim-G is useful in infective & traumatic conditions accompanied by a local inflammatory reaction.
• Who should take Ambezim-G?
• In patients after post-traumatic & post-operative oedema.
• As adjunctive therapy in localised inflammatory conditions such as inflammation of the veins, in cases of ulcers, in sinusitis, in inflammation of the ear, in episiotomy after delivery of the baby, in trauma of the eye.
• What sort of side effects experienced when you take Ambezim-G?
Rarely, serious manifestations of hypersensitivity reactions can occur.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, albuminuria, haematuria & haemorrhage.
• Who should not take Ambezim-G?
Ambezim-G should be avoided in cases of hypersensitivity reactions to trypsin & chymotrypsin.
In cases of severe general & local infections such as tuberculosis, septicaemia.
In cases of peptic ulcer, severe hepatic & renal disease.
In cases of disorders of the blood clotting mechanism or patients taking anticoagulants.
• Is it safe to take Ambezim-G with other medicines?
In case of any doubt, ask your doctor or the pharmacist in the nearest pharmacy.
• How do you take Ambezim-G?
The average dose is two tablets to be taken up to four times daily as follows: two tablets to be taken one hour before each of the three meals & two tablets to be taken just before going to bed.
In particular serious clinical conditions, dosage can be increased according to the judgement of the physician.
N.B: Dosage must be established individually according to the need & to the case.
Dosage must be reduced proportionately for children according to age, weight & following medical advice.
