Alkasilon Suspension Indications
- Relief of hyperacidity, heartburn and oesophagitis. - Gastric and duodenal ulcer. - Flatulence, bloating and malaise in gastro-intestinal functions.Alkasilon Warning & Precautions
-Aluminium containing antacids should, therefore, be used with caution in patients with chronic renal failure especially in children .Alkasilon Dosage
- In hyperacidity, gastric and duodenal ulcers : 1-2 teaspoonfuls after meals. - In oesophagitis : 2 teaspoonfuls, 15 minutes before meals.Alkasilon Adverse Reactions
Excessive doses, or even normal doses of aluminium hydroxide in patients with low phosphate diets, may lead to phosphate depletion accompanied by increased bone resorption and hypercalciuria with the risk of osteomalacia .Alkasilon Contra-indications
- Hypophosphataemia , neonates & infants.Alkasilon Drug Interactions
-The absorption of aluminium from GIT may be inhanced if aluminium compounds are taken with citrates or ascorbic acid . -Aluminium hydroxide gel diminishes the absorption of tetracyclines from the gut and is, therefore, incompatible with them.
